Reactogenicity After Heterologous and Homologous COVID-19 Prime-Boost Vaccination Regimens: Descriptive Interim Results of a Comparative Observational Cohort Study

چکیده

Background: Due to safety signals after vaccination with COVID-19 vector vaccines, several states recommended complete the primary immunization series in individuals having received one dose of ChAdOx1 (AstraZeneca) an mRNA vaccine. However, data on and reactogenicity this heterologous regimen are still scarce. The aim study was therefore compare frequency medical consultations boost a mRNA-vaccines (BNT162b2, BioNTech/Pfizer or mRNA-1273, Moderna) homologous regimens mRNA-vaccines, respectively. Methods: In observational cohort were assessed 14 19 days (short-term) 40 56 (long-term) using web-based surveys. short-term survey solicited unsolicited reactions assessed. long-term focussed health problems leading consultation vaccination, including those that not suspected be vaccine-related. Findings: total, 9146 participants completed at least surveys (ChAdOx1/ChAdOx1: n = 552, ChAdOx1/mRNA: 2382, mRNA/mRNA: 6212). survey, 86 % ChAdOx1/mRNA reported reaction, ChAdOx1/ChAdOx1 mRNA/mRNA cohorts 58 76 %, respectively (age sex adjusted p < 0·0001). comparable proportions (ChAdOx1/ChAdOx1 vs. 15 18 16 age 0·398). Female gender associated higher more consultations. Younger reactogenicity, whereas elderly people consultations. Interpretation: Although than regimes, other factors such as efficacy limited resources during pandemic may prevail recommending specific regimens. Funding: Bavarian Ministry Science Art. Heterologous Prime-Boost HIV-1 Vaccination Regimens in Pre-Clinical and Clinical Trials

Currently, there are more than 30 million people infected with HIV-1 and thousands more are infected each day. Vaccination is the single most effective mechanism for prevention of viral disease, and after more than 25 years of research, one vaccine has shown somewhat encouraging results in an advanced clinical efficacy trial. A modified intent-to-treat analysis of trial results showed that infe...

Heterologous Prime-Boost Regimens Using rAd35 and rMVA Vectors Elicit Stronger Cellular Immune Responses to HIV Proteins Than Homologous Regimens

We characterized prime-boost vaccine regimens using heterologous and homologous vector and gene inserts. Heterologous regimens offer a promising approach that focuses the cell-mediated immune response on the insert and away from vector-dominated responses. Ad35-GRIN/ENV (Ad35-GE) vaccine is comprised of two vectors containing sequences from HIV-1 subtype A gag, rt, int, nef (Ad35-GRIN) and env ...

Heterologous Prime-Boost Immunisation Regimens Against Infectious Diseases

Development of prophylactic vaccines against infectious diseases (such as malaria, tuberculosis and HIV) has been hindered by the lack of effective immunisation strategies that induce the cellular arm of the immune system necessary for protection against these intracellular pathogens. DNA vaccines, recombinant proteins and recombinant viral vectors are all effective antigen delivery systems for...

A comparative approach between heterologous prime-boost vaccination strategy and DNA vaccinations for rabies.

BACKGROUND AND AIM Rabies is a widespread neurological zoonotic disease causing significant mortality rates, especially in developing countries. Although a vaccine for rabies is available, its production and scheduling are costly in such countries. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have made it a good candidate for an affordable vaccine. Among the proteins of rabies virus, the Glycoprotein...
